First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with Parkinson's disease experience central pain by examining the serotonin system in the brain. Researchers will use PET and MRI scans on 34 participants to measure serotonin receptors and brain connectivity. The goal is to gather knowledge about pain mechanisms, not to test a new treatment.
