NCT ID NCT04566341
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a special pill-sized camera can safely take pictures of the esophagus in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers want to find out if the nerves in the gut look different in Parkinson's patients compared to healthy people. About 20 adults with Parkinson's will swallow the camera. The goal is to learn more about how Parkinson's affects the digestive system, not to treat the disease.
