Brain study aims to unlock mystery of sudden freezing in Parkinson's

Summary
This study looks at why some people with Parkinson's disease suddenly feel like their feet are glued to the floor, known as freezing of gait. Researchers will use special brain recordings from already-implanted devices to compare brain activity in people with and without this symptom. The goal is to better understand what causes freezing, which could lead to better treatments. About 36 adults with Parkinson's who have a Medtronic Percept DBS device will take part.
