Scientists search for Parkinson's fingerprint in blood and nose

NCT ID NCT07480187

Summary

This study aims to find biological markers, or 'fingerprints,' for Parkinson's disease using easy-to-collect samples like blood and nasal tissue. Researchers will analyze samples from 340 people, including those with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and healthy volunteers, to see if specific markers can help identify the disease and its different forms. The goal is to improve future clinical trials by helping doctors select the right patients for new treatments.
