First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests if a nerve block (TAP block) is as good as or better than an epidural for pain after major abdominal cancer surgery. About 50 adults having surgeries like stomach, colon, or liver removal will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see which approach reduces the need for extra morphine and provides safer pain control.
