First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested two different pain-blocking techniques in 50 children aged 1 to 7 years undergoing hernia repair. One method uses ultrasound to guide a nerve block near the belly, while the other is a standard caudal block near the tailbone. The goal was to see which provides longer pain relief and reduces the need for extra pain medicine after surgery.
