NCT ID NCT07182851

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at how often pain occurs in intensive care unit (ICU) patients who are on breathing machines (mechanical ventilators). Researchers will use special pain scales to check pain levels and see if pain is linked to problems like breathing machine issues, longer hospital stays, or death within 28 days. About 370 adults on ventilators will be observed, but those with conditions that affect pain perception are excluded. The goal is to better understand pain in these patients to improve care.
