Summary

This study aimed to see if adding a sedative drug (dexmedetomidine) to standard pain relief could improve pain control and reduce side effects after lung surgery in smokers. It was designed for 102 men with high nicotine dependence. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
