First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of supervised exercise for people with peripheral artery disease (PAD), where leg arteries are blocked and walking becomes painful. The program uses muscle oxygen levels to guide exercise, aiming to help patients walk farther and reduce muscle damage. Researchers will enroll 12 veterans to see if this approach is feasible and better than standard exercise therapy.
