NCT ID NCT07575113

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will compare two exercise programs—the Otago program and the Beat It program—in 32 people with type 2 diabetes and nerve damage in their feet. The goal is to see which program better improves balance, walking, and quality of life. Participants will do exercises 4 times a week for 8 weeks, and researchers will measure their balance and walking ability before and after.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

exercise program (Otago or Beat It)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show which exercise program better helps people with diabetic nerve damage improve their balance and reduce fall risk.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 32 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Exercise programs require consistent effort and may not help all patients.
