Summary
This study tested a web-based system that creates a personalized care plan for people with knee or hip osteoarthritis. The goal was to help patients and their doctors make more informed decisions about treatments, including whether to have joint replacement surgery. Over 5,700 adults aged 40 and older participated. The study measured how much the care plan reduced uncertainty about treatment choices.
