First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with type 2 diabetes can safely keep taking their usual diabetes pills while in the hospital, instead of switching to insulin. About 255 adults aged 18-80 who are admitted to general medical or surgical units will take part. Researchers will compare blood sugar control and rates of low blood sugar between those who continue their pills and those who get insulin therapy.
