NCT ID NCT05980091

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether transferring a frozen embryo on day 6 or day 7 of progesterone treatment leads to more live births. It includes 316 women aged 18-43 who have at least one high-quality, genetically normal embryo. Researchers will track pregnancy and miscarriage rates to find the optimal timing.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Estradiol valerate and progesterone

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors choose the best day to transfer embryos, potentially improving pregnancy and live birth rates for women using frozen embryos.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase study that is currently suspended, so results are not yet available. The timing difference may not significantly affect outcomes, and individual factors could still play a large role.
