First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether ondansetron, a medicine that prevents nausea and vomiting, could help children and teens (ages 2 to 20) have a better experience with bowel preparation before a colonoscopy. The goal was to see if it improved the quality of the bowel cleanout and reduced symptoms like pain, bloating, and nausea. The trial was small with 41 participants and is now complete.
