First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving medication once a day through a chest tube works as well as giving it twice a day for people with serious infections around the lungs. Participants are adults already in the hospital with a chest tube draining infected fluid. They will be randomly assigned to receive the enzyme treatment either once or twice daily, and researchers will compare outcomes like need for surgery and survival at 90 days.
