Belly fat may help fight deadly brain tumors

NCT ID NCT05979064

First seen Jun 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with a returning, aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma. Doctors take a piece of tissue from the patient's belly and place it into the brain during surgery to remove the tumor. The goal is to see if this is safe and might help deliver treatments past the brain's natural barrier. Ten adults will be enrolled in this early-stage trial.
