Fish oil for teeth? trial tests Omega-3 to regrow tooth roots

NCT ID NCT07371416

Summary

This study is testing whether applying omega-3 fatty acids inside a damaged, immature tooth can help it heal and regrow its root better than the standard treatment. It involves 20 young patients (ages 6-28) with a specific type of dead, underdeveloped tooth. The goal is to see if the omega-3 approach leads to more root growth, thicker tooth walls, and better bone healing around the root tip.
