Summary
This phase 2 trial tested olpasiran, an injectable drug, in 281 adults with high lipoprotein(a) – a genetic risk factor for heart disease. Participants received either olpasiran or a placebo. The main goal was to see how much the drug lowered Lp(a) levels after 36 weeks. Results showed a significant reduction, suggesting olpasiran may help control this stubborn risk factor.
