Summary

This study tested a school program called Old SCHOOL Hip-Hop that uses music and dance to teach 4th and 5th graders (ages 9-11) and their parents about Alzheimer's disease. Over 2,200 families from New York City public schools took part. The goal was to see if the program improved knowledge of dementia symptoms, risk factors, and when to seek help, measured right after and 3 months later.
