Could a Three-Drug cocktail save more cardiac arrest victims?

NCT ID NCT06203847

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a combination of three drugs (epinephrine, vasopressin, and a steroid) to adults who suffer a sudden cardiac arrest outside the hospital can restart their heart better than the standard single drug (epinephrine). About 1,344 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the combo or the standard treatment from paramedics. The main goal is to see if the combo leads to a sustained return of a heartbeat and better long-term survival.
