First seen Aug 13, 2026 · Last updated Aug 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study offers open/aftercare treatment to adults with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) who have completed an earlier study at Stanford's Rodriguez Lab. Participants receive evidence-based psychotherapy and/or pharmacotherapy from trained professionals. The goal is to see if continued treatment can improve OCD symptoms, measured by a standard scale. The study is open to English-speaking adults who can consent and are not actively suicidal.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Evidenced-based psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy
What this could lead to
If successful, this aftercare approach could help maintain or further reduce OCD symptoms after initial treatment, pointing toward better long-term management strategies.
What could go wrong
This is an open-label, non-randomized study without a control group, so improvements may not be solely due to the treatment. Results may not generalize to all OCD patients.
