Summary
This study aims to find the best weight-loss medication for people with bipolar disorder by identifying their obesity type—such as 'hungry brain' or 'hungry gut.' About 100 adults aged 18-65 with bipolar or schizoaffective disorder will be assigned one of three FDA-approved drugs (Semaglutide, Naltrexone/Bupropion, or Phentermine/Topiramate) or no medication, plus virtual group therapy. The goal is to see if matching treatment to obesity type is safe and effective for weight loss in this population.
