Common vitamin tested as potential Alzheimer's fighter

NCT ID NCT06582706

Summary

This study is testing if a common B-vitamin called niacin can get into the brain and spinal fluid of people with Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will give 30 participants either a 500mg niacin pill or a placebo (sugar pill) for 60 days. The main goal is to measure how much niacin reaches the brain and to check if it is safe, not to treat symptoms directly.
