New clip surgery could help diabetes patients who Can't get standard treatment

Summary
This study tests a new surgical device (a clip) to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity in people with a BMI of 25-35. The surgery creates a second food pathway to help control blood sugar, similar to popular diabetes drugs. About 90 adults will be randomly assigned to different groups and followed for up to two years to see if the clip is safe and effective.
