Summary
This study tests a new surgical device (a metal clip) to create a second food pathway in the stomach for people with type 2 diabetes who are overweight or mildly obese (BMI 25-35). The goal is to improve blood sugar control without causing too much weight loss or needing lifelong vitamins. About 90 adults will be randomly assigned to different groups and followed for up to two years.
