New scanner sees 20 times more detail: could it revolutionize brain and neck diagnosis?
NCT ID NCT07595666
First seen May 21, 2026 ยท Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new, highly detailed PET/CT scanner (NeuroEXPLORER) against standard scanners for people with conditions like dementia, Parkinson's, epilepsy, brain tumors, and head/neck cancers. About 1,600 participants will get both scans in one visit to see if the new scanner provides clearer images and better diagnostic information. The goal is to improve diagnosis and monitoring without direct treatment, focusing on safety and image quality.
