New DNA test could speed up bone infection diagnosis

Summary
This study looks at a new way to diagnose infections in broken bones using a DNA sequencing technology called Nanopore. Researchers will compare this method to standard lab cultures to see if it is faster and more accurate. The goal is to help doctors choose the right antibiotics sooner. About 100 adults with confirmed bone infections after a fracture will take part.
