Timing is everything: new study seeks best moment for painkiller in knee surgery

Summary

This study looks at whether giving the painkiller nalbuphine at different times during knee replacement surgery can better control pain and keep the heart stable in patients aged 65 and older. About 162 participants will receive the same dose of nalbuphine either before, during, or after surgery. The goal is to find the safest and most effective timing to reduce pain and avoid complications.
