Music therapy tunes up student mental health

Summary

This study looks at whether music therapy can improve mental health and social connections in university students who feel depressed, anxious, or stressed. Twenty students aged 18-40 with moderate symptoms will be randomly assigned to either 4 individual music therapy sessions or a non-therapeutic music listening group. Researchers will measure changes in mood, loneliness, and brain activity during sessions.
