Tunes for tubes: music eases Men's surgery fears
NCT ID NCT07255118
Summary
This study tested if listening to relaxing music before and during a common prostate surgery could help patients feel less anxious and have less pain afterward. 135 men were randomly assigned to either listen to instrumental music or receive standard care without music. Researchers measured anxiety before and after surgery, and pain two hours after the procedure, to see if this simple, drug-free approach could improve comfort and recovery.
