New MRI method may spot bladder cancer without needle dye

NCT ID NCT05783271

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a shorter, dye-free MRI scan (called bp-MRI) can accurately diagnose bladder cancer and tell if it has spread into the muscle. Researchers will compare this simpler scan to the standard contrast MRI in 58 adults suspected of having bladder cancer. If successful, it could offer a faster, safer alternative for diagnosis.
