New MRI method could spare bladder cancer patients from contrast dye

NCT ID NCT05783271

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a simpler MRI scan (bp-MRI) can accurately diagnose bladder cancer and tell if it has spread into the muscle, without needing a contrast dye injection. Researchers will compare the new method to the standard MRI in 58 adults suspected of having bladder cancer. If successful, it could offer a safer, faster way to diagnose and plan treatment.
