Scientists test new heart scans to spot disease sooner

NCT ID NCT01399385

Summary

This study aims to develop better MRI scanning methods to see the heart and arteries in more detail without using radiation. Researchers will compare these new MRI techniques to standard heart tests in up to 4000 adults, including both healthy volunteers and people with or at risk for heart disease. The goal is to create safer, more accurate tools for the early detection of artery problems like atherosclerosis.
