5-Minute MRI could solve brain tumor mystery after radiation
NCT ID NCT06101069
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing a new, quick MRI technique called Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF) to better tell the difference between a brain tumor coming back and damage from radiation therapy (radiation necrosis). About 90 people will take part, including healthy volunteers, patients with new or returning brain tumors, and those with radiation damage. Each person will have one extra MRI scan that takes only 5 minutes, with no other tests or procedures needed.
