Italian heart pump registry launches to track Long-Term survival

Summary
This study is observing 400 adults with advanced heart failure who have received a continuous-flow ventricular assist device (VAD), a mechanical pump that helps the heart circulate blood. Researchers will track survival rates in the hospital and at one and five years after implantation, as well as complications like bleeding, infection, and organ failure. The goal is to gather real-world data to improve care, not to test a new treatment.
