First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week mindfulness program could help new mothers with depressive symptoms. 70 Chinese women who had given birth within the last 1.5 years and had mild to moderate depression took part. Half attended weekly mindfulness sessions, while the other half received a booklet with mental health tips. The goal was to see if mindfulness could improve mood, reduce anxiety, and boost thinking skills without medication.
