Treadmill trick may boost ACL recovery

NCT ID NCT06529679

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether walking on a treadmill with belts moving at different speeds can improve how the knee loads weight after ACL reconstruction. Thirty-two participants who had ACL surgery within the past 10 months walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Researchers measured changes in knee joint forces to see if this simple exercise could help restore normal walking patterns.
