First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special PET scan using a radioactive form of methionine (an amino acid) can help doctors see tumors in children and young adults with various cancers, including brain tumors and sarcomas. About 500 participants will be scanned to see how well the method works and if it can tell the difference between active tumor and scar tissue. The goal is to improve cancer imaging and guide treatment decisions.
