Could a common diabetes drug ease Parkinson's?

Summary

This study tests whether metformin, a standard diabetes medication, can safely improve movement and quality of life in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will enroll 60 adults aged 50 and older who are already taking levodopa/carbidopa. The main goal is to see if metformin reduces Parkinson's motor symptoms and helps patients feel better day-to-day.
