Sleep hormone trial aims to tame bipolar mood swings

Summary

This study will test if adding melatonin, a natural sleep hormone, to current treatment helps stabilize mood in people with bipolar disorder. Over 6 months, 200 participants will take either melatonin or a placebo pill, without knowing which one they receive. Researchers will track daily mood changes and sleep quality to see if melatonin makes a difference.
