First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is a registry that follows up to 10,000 people who have been diagnosed with a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism) and started blood-thinning medication within 14 days. Researchers at the Mayo Clinic will track how many patients have another clot or a major bleeding event over time. The goal is to see how well standard treatments work in everyday medical practice.
