Summary
This study tested whether gummy candies made with maqui berry could help control blood sugar and increase antioxidant levels in overweight adults. Ten participants ate a carbohydrate-rich food with or without the gummies on three separate visits. Researchers measured blood sugar and insulin levels to see if the berry gummies made a difference.
