Pill camera peers into stomach troubles
NCT ID NCT05004012
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to look inside the stomach using a magnetic capsule (a pill with a tiny camera). Researchers wanted to see if this method could help understand stomach muscle problems like gastroparesis and indigestion. 20 people with these conditions swallowed the capsule, and doctors used magnets to guide it around. The goal was to measure stomach contractions and the pylorus opening, not to treat the disease.
