First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special ultrasound-guided nerve block (M-TAPA) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, a common weight-loss surgery. About 60 adults having this surgery will either receive the block or standard care. The main goal is to see if the block lowers opioid use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
