NCT ID NCT05350332
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at how the amount of air in your lungs affects throat collapse during sleep in people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Researchers will use a special camera to watch the throat while patients are sedated, and they will either use a chest ventilator or neck electrodes to change lung volume. The goal is to better predict who will benefit from surgery and possibly develop new treatments. About 200 adults with OSA who are already scheduled for this evaluation will take part.
