LSD shows promise for End-of-Life anxiety in new trial

Summary
This study tests whether moderate to high doses of LSD can reduce anxiety, depression, and pain in people with advanced, life-limiting illnesses. Sixty participants with a life expectancy of 12 weeks to 2 years will receive either two doses of LSD or a very low dose as a placebo. The goal is to improve quality of life and ease psychological distress near the end of life.
