Can less be more? new study tests safer blood thinner doses for ECMO patients

Summary

This study looks at whether giving lower doses of two blood thinners (argatroban and enoxaparin) to adults on ECMO (a machine that helps the heart and lungs) is safe and works well. The goal is to reduce bleeding and clotting problems. About 200 people with pneumonia or heart failure will take part.
