Summary
This completed Phase 3 trial tested whether two widely available drugs—fluvoxamine (an antidepressant) and metformin (a diabetes drug)—can reduce fatigue and other symptoms in people with long COVID. 399 adults with confirmed prior COVID-19 infection and persistent symptoms took part. The study compared these drugs against a placebo to see if they improve daily functioning.
