Summary

This study tested a 12-week class called 'Living with Hope' for people who recently attempted suicide. The class teaches coping skills based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Active substance

Living with Hope (12-week CBT-based psychoeducational skills class)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could point toward a practical, low-cost class to help people cope after a suicide attempt and reduce suicidal thoughts.

What could go wrong

This is a very small, early study with only 26 participants and no control group. Results may not apply to everyone, and the class may not prevent future attempts.
