NCT ID NCT07269041

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach to help liver transplant recipients stop taking toxic anti-rejection drugs for good. Twelve adults who received a liver from a living donor at least one year ago will get a donor stem cell infusion after a mild radiation and antibody treatment. The goal is to retrain the immune system to accept the liver as 'self,' so patients can live drug-free. Success could mean fewer side effects and a better quality of life.
