Summary
This trial investigates whether liver transplant recipients who have a high degree of their own cells in the donor liver can safely stop or reduce their anti-rejection medications. Participants with stable liver function for at least five years will have a liver biopsy to measure cell chimerism. Those with high chimerism will attempt to withdraw immunosuppression entirely, while others may reduce their dose. The goal is to see if chimerism can identify patients who no longer need lifelong anti-rejection drugs.
