Blood test could spare brain tumor patients from repeated surgeries

NCT ID NCT05133154

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study investigates whether a simple blood test can help diagnose and monitor low-grade gliomas, a type of slow-growing brain tumor. Researchers will collect blood samples from 50 patients undergoing brain surgery to look for circulating tumor cells and other markers. The goal is to find a non-invasive way to track tumor growth and detect changes without repeated biopsies.
